Having completed advanced implant training through the International Congress of Oral Implantology, Dr. Paape has been recognized as a Fellow of the ICOI.
Dr. Soren Paape brings a steady, patient-first approach to every case, built on a deep foundation in surgical and implant dentistry.
Raised in northern Wisconsin, he developed an early commitment to community and service that continues to guide his practice philosophy today. He earned a degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Marquette University. He then completed a year-long surgical externship at Aurora and Froedtert hospitals in Milwaukee, gaining hands-on experience in complex surgical cases.
Dr. Paape has continued to focus his training on surgery, implants, bone grafting, restorative dentistry, and digital dentistry, completing more than 750 hours of implant-related continuing education. He is certified in 3-on-6 implant techniques, with extensive training in both FP1 and FP3 implant protocols, as well as advanced zygomatic and pterygoid implant procedures. He is a Neodent Elite Practitioner and an SIN 360 Center of Excellence provider. He is also a member of the ADA, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and holds a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He mentors surgeons through the Colorado Surgical Institute and previously served as clinical director overseeing doctor training across more than 30 offices. He currently owns and operates Smile Now Dental Group, a network of nine implant-focused offices, where he continues to train fellow doctors and travel between locations to personally handle the most complex cases.
Outside the office, Dr. Paape enjoys hiking, snow sports, and cooking. He brings the same focus on health and well-being to his own life that he brings to his patients' care.
Dr. Stephen Spencer is a compassionate and approachable dental health leader dedicated to delivering personalized, patient-first care. He takes the time to truly know each individual, empowering them with the education, transparency, and outstanding treatment they deserve.
A native of Utah, Dr. Spencer excelled at Weber State University before earning early acceptance into the prestigious dental program at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. He has been licensed and practicing in Colorado for over a decade, continuously advancing his expertise through the latest continuing education and cutting-edge techniques.
Dr. Spencer provides comprehensive restorative treatment, including crowns and bridges, veneers, dentures, and implants. He is especially passionate about All-on-X (AOX) restorative treatment, where he helps patients reclaim their smiles, confidence, and quality of life by restoring full-arch function, health, and happiness in a single streamlined solution.
Known for creating a warm, comfortable environment, Dr. Spencer guides every patient step-by-step using state-of-the-art digital dental technology. With 3D imaging, high-resolution photos, and educational videos, patients can visualize their treatment journey with clarity and confidence.
Throughout his career, Dr. Spencer has volunteered countless hours providing free dental care, education, and screenings to underserved communities across Colorado. He has also appeared as a guest expert on local morning news programs, sharing practical oral health insights with the community.
When he's not in the office, Dr. Spencer enjoys the outdoor lifestyle of the Rocky Mountains he grew up loving — hiking, off-road exploring, snowboarding, mountain biking, and paddleboarding. A dedicated nutrition and fitness enthusiast, he seamlessly connects these wellness principles to comprehensive dental health, helping patients understand the powerful link between lifestyle and lasting oral wellness.
